Cornerstone Lincoln King Academy in Detroit Michigan is our biggest success story to date. After soliciting numerous high school athletic programs from throughout metropolitan Detroit, Handoff – Play It Forward was contacted by Divine Child High School, Notre Dame Preparatory High School and De La Salle High School, which each donated equipment across multiple sporting activities that we were able to deliver to Lincoln King Academy. This school in Detroit had only recently founded their Varsity football program and, at the time of this donation, they had just approved the foundation of both boys and girls baseball programs for the Spring season 2025 as well as a Lacrosse team. Our charity was able to assemble enough equipment from the three suburban schools mentioned to afford Lincoln King Academy the ability to outfit their varsity football team with both practice and game pads, also to outfit a Junior Varsity program for 2025, and to fully outfit their boys’ and girls’ baseball teams with mitts, bats, catchers equipment and baseballs.
